About the role We are seeking a values-driven and proactive Senior Teacher for Curriculum Coordination
You will teach a senior class primarily three days a week, and provide relief or supervisory support when needed.
The Senior Teacher will oversee curriculum development aligning teaching practices with The Salvation Army and drive improvements in students outcomes through collaborative leadership and strategic planning.
Teaching responsibilities will include subjects such as:
Short Course Literacy Short Course Numeracy Social and Community Studies Reporting to the Assistant Principal, this is a permanent full-time position, based in Riverview, QLD.
Salary and conditions are in accordance with the Education Service Award Level 1-5 depending on experience.
You will successfully Plan, prepare and deliver educational programs to all students in the class to facilitate learning Teach according to the educational needs, abilities and achievement of the individual students and groups of students (using data collected and/or observed) Assess, mark, record and report on the development, progress and attainment of our students Provide oral and written assessments, reports and references relating to individual students or groups of students based upon observations for NCCD data collection Communicate, consult and co-operate with other members of the education team and the wider school community including to ensure the best interest of students Ensure high standards of professional practice, quality of teaching and learning of the subject/s Coordinate schedules, rosters, and teaching resources to ensure smooth curriculum delivery Monitor curriculum effectiveness through data analysis, feedback, and review processes You will have A current Queensland College of Teachers Registration A Certificate IV in Assessment and Training to deliver Nationally Accredited Vocational Certificates (desirable) Experience with Special Assistance Schools, that provide alternative educational settings for students with high-level needs and students who are at risk, have behavioural difficulties, or whose needs are better met by flexible learning structures A national police record check is required What we offer As a registered NFP we offer our eligible employees real and meaningful benefits such as:
