This new position in Melbourne will support our continued growth as we expand our national footprint.
Our Role Are you looking for a dynamic role?
Pacific Energy is growing fast, so we require a Development Engineer who will, under the guidance and supervision of the bid lead, determine the bid scope, source inputs to the model and proposal, modelling, and drafting proposals.
For allocated areas, this role is responsible for collecting and collating historical project costs and issuing requests for supply and incorporating them into a reliable cost database for bidding.
Based at our Derrimut offices, we are looking for that person who will collect all technical and financial inputs to the bid model.
This is a Monday to Friday position.
Key Responsibilities: Collect all technical and financial inputs to the bid model.
Run model to determine potential and optimum configuration.
Determine plant configuration charges.
Prepare initial draft proposals.
Prepare technical responses to clarifications.
Prepare technical content required for contracts in negotiations.
Liaise with other sections to secure project and engineering support.
Undertake additional duties as instructed by Senior Management.
Be an active member of the Commercial Team and seek new business opportunities.
About You: Tertiary qualified in a mechanical or electrical engineering, or a related cross-discipline, supported by strong technical acumen and an understanding of power generation.
Industry experience in the engineering field, preferably with emerging renewable technologies.
Exposure to project development and/or project management.
Exposure to estimating processes.
Financial acumen.
