About the role: The role exists to deliver Information and Communications Technology (ICT) procurement category management and vendor management.
It will require the development of Category Plans, subsequent sourcing/negotiation initiatives and ongoing management of the existing contract portfolio and vendors.
You will have extensive experience managing Top Tier software providers, eg Oracle, and large SAAS / PAAS contracts, and understanding terms and conditions especially performance metrics like Service Levels and KPIs are essential.
This role sits within a close-knit team where no two days are the same, offering plenty of variety and allowing you to be involved in a range of activities end to end from idea generation to expiry.

What you'll do: Manage external vendor relations & performance including SLA's governance Implement and manage vendor governance framework and supplier review processes Perform as functional bridge amongst external vendors as well as internal stakeholders Develop and implement Category plans, sourcing strategies and/or negotiation strategies including define appropriate supply models for each category of spend and establish contracts that are competitive, reduce risk and optimise supply through appropriate SLAs Determine the roles & responsibilities between Technology Procurement & Vendor Management and stakeholders within T&T Interpret T&C's, resolve vendor disputes that have been escalated or are of a systematic or strategic nature and work with T&T Domains to resolve supplier performance and governance issues What you'll bring: Minimum 5 years' experience in vendor management or procurement Experience in ICT Category Management essential; specifically software would be beneficial Experience in large organisations with complex environments, a background in the Insurance industry would be highly regarded Experience in a centralised procurement/commercial environment providing services to a broad customer base.
Experience in working with others in a (preferably commercial) strategy setting role.
