Details: Start 2025 with a bang - as the new Operations Manager at the award-winning Canberra & Region Visitors Centre (CRVC)If you:Are passionate about the Canberra region and highlighting all it has to offer;Enjoy delivering fantastic customer service to visitors of all ages and demographics and ensuring their visit is the best it can be;Are an enthusiastic team leader who loves championing those around them...Then this might just be the role you've been looking forAs the Operations Manager at CRVC, you will lead a dynamic team delivering exceptional customer service to a local, domestic and international audience as well as tourism and leisure businesses with the Canberra Region.As the Operations Manager you will:Oversee the management and delivery of retail sales activities in connection with the CRVC, including merchandising and the high quality presentation of the retail offering at the CRVC;Supervise a team responsible for delivery of high quality, consistent and relevant visitor information services including the preparation of rosters in line with operational requirements and budget;Ensure accurate financial records and invoicing is undertaken in a timely manner;Support the Director, Visitor Services, manage a small team and develop staff as appropriate;Manage reconciliation of counter and reservation sales;Work with local and regional tourism industry to meet the goals of the ACT's Tourism 2030 Strategy under the guidance and support of Senior Officers and Executives;Be responsible for pursuing and converting commercial partnerships and activities associated with the role of the CRVC.Eligibility/Other Requirements:Current Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate (or ability to obtain).First aid certificate (or ability to obtain).Ability to perform after hours, public holiday or weekend work as required.Sound knowledge of the Canberra and region tourism industry.We are committed to creating an inclusive environment where people with diverse thoughts, lived experience, and perspectives can thrive and contribute their unique talents to the ACTPS and ACT community.
