Rex is Australia's largest independent regional and domestic airline operating a fleet of Boeing 737-800NG and Saab 340 aircraft to 56 destinations throughout all states in Australia.
In addition to the airline Rex, the Rex Group comprises wholly owned subsidiaries Pel-Air Aviation (air freight, aeromedical and charter operator), the Australian Airline Pilot Academy with campuses in Wagga Wagga and Ballarat, and propeller maintenance organisation, Australian Aerospace Propeller Maintenance.
Rex is also a 50% shareholder of National Jet Express (NJE), a premier Fly-In-Fly-Out (FIFO), charter and freight operator.
Rex is known for its warmth and hospitality, providing a link between the city and regional Australia.
Position OverviewWe are looking for individuals who are able to exemplify our values to join the team in a full-time capacity as a solo Flight Attendant on the Saab 340.
As a solo Flight Attendant, you manage your own cabin and have the opportunity to provide a personalised service whilst travelling to some of Australia's most unique destinations.
ResponsibilitiesThe role involves responsibility for passenger safety as well as providing a genuine and caring service to all our passengers.
Some of the duties you will perform include:
Equipment/security checksIn-flight announcementsIn-flight food and beverage serviceTurnaround cleaning dutiesDealing with situations that may occur in the cabinWhile it is a role offering work/life balance, you must be willing to work shift work, weekends, and public holidays, and there will be some nights spent away from home.

Minimum RequirementsTo meet requirements you must:
Be 18 years of age or overHave Australian Citizenship or Permanent ResidencyBe no taller than 173 cmHold a current Provide First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011)Hold a current Responsible Service of Alcohol CertificateDemonstrate one of the following:Completed a minimum of 3 years of secondary education in Australia or New Zealand, orWorked in Australia or New Zealand for at least 3 of the last 5 years, orWorked in the UK, Ireland, or USA for at least 3 of the last 5 years, orCompleted the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) with an overall grade of 5.5.Be able to hold an ASIC which involves a police security checkHave experience in customer serviceBe able to swim fully clothed without aid or floating deviceBe flexible (working hours will vary and will include weekends and public holidays)Have a high level of personal presentationHave a natural willingness to please and care for peopleExtensive training will be provided – flying experience is not required.
