About the Role:As a Senior Python Specialist, you will be the Python Subject Matter Expert (SME) within a dynamic and collaborative environment. Your role will involve designing, developing, and optimising scalable Python applications and APIs, with a focus on best practices and robust problem-solving.
This isn't your typical backend engineering role—our client seeks someone eager to experiment, tinker, and influence the future of AI. As a Backend Python Engineer, you will develop and maintain robust backend systems that integrate seamlessly with machine learning pipelines. This is a challenging position in a team that values speed, quality, and innovation, making it perfect for individuals who enjoy working in dynamic environments.

Key Role Responsibilities:Backend Development: Craft scalable, efficient backend solutions using Python for seamless integration with machine learning infrastructure.API Development: Build RESTful APIs that support both frontend interfaces and third-party tools.Distributed Systems: Develop distributed architectures using task queues for parallel processing.Deployment and Automation: Support CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth deployment of backend services.Data Management: Build and maintain databases, ensuring data availability and performance.Optimization: Fine-tune backend services for fast data processing and reliable performance.Real-Time Adaptation: Ensure models perform in real-time by managing memory allocation efficiently.Exploration and Innovation: Lead research initiatives to explore emerging technologies and methodologies.Desired Technical Expertise and Background:Python Development: Strong programming skills in Python, especially for backend systems and resource management.API Skills: Hands-on experience in designing and implementing robust RESTful APIs.Database Design: Knowledge of data structures and SQL-based database management.Automation: Familiar with deploying complex applications via CI/CD pipelines.Problem Solving: Experience troubleshooting and optimizing backend services to handle high data loads.Mathematics for Engineers: A solid foundation in mathematical concepts relevant to software engineering, with a keen interest in AI and ML.Curiosity and Experimentation: Passionate about trying new ideas, prototyping quickly, and exploring creative solutions.Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on collaborative teamwork.Bonus Experience and Skills:Experience working with PyTorch or similar frameworks within the machine learning space.Familiarity with distributed systems, including task queues and load balancing.Knowledge of real-time data processing and performance tuning for time-sensitive applications.Experience in backend development using TypeScript is a plus.Hands-on experience with AI image generation tools or frameworks (e.g., Stable Diffusion, Hugging Face).A background in deploying or optimizing machine learning models for production environments.Company Benefits:Competitive salary and equity package.Flexible working hours and remote work options.Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance (coverage varies by region).Unlimited PTO with encouragement to take time off.Opportunities to work with cutting-edge tools and technologies.Join a team that's redefining the boundaries of what AI can achieve.
