APS5 equivalent payrate $55+p/h plus super Located in Brisbane, Queensland About the Team The Procurement and Corporate Services Branch provides essential support by delivering corporate, procurement, and property services.
The Procurement team partners with business areas to procure goods and services while ensuring compliance with the Commonwealth Procurement Rules and organisational policies.
Focused on delivering value-for-money outcomes, the team fosters collaboration, provides expert advice, and drives process improvements to support organisational goals effectively.
About the Role As an APS5 Procurement Officer , you will play a crucial role in supporting business areas by providing expert procurement advice, ensuring compliance with the Commonwealth Procurement Rules, and driving value-for-money outcomes.
This role requires managing moderately complex to complex procurement activities under limited supervision while maintaining high-quality workflows and providing informed advice to stakeholders.
You will also contribute to the continuous improvement of procurement processes and support a centralised procurement model, including engaging labour hire resources and facilitating grant rounds in alignment with policy and legislation.
Providing accurate and timely procurement advice to internal and external stakeholders.
Establishing procurement methodologies, preparing procurement documentation, and evaluating tenders.
Negotiating contracts and managing reporting requirements.
Supporting compliance with the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs), guidelines, and internal policies.
Managing confidential and sensitive information while delivering high-level administrative support.
Identifying opportunities for process improvements and contributing to continuous development.
Monitoring activities to achieve work area objectives efficiently and effectively.
About you To thrive in this role, you need: Demonstrated understanding of federal or state government procurement processes.
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite at an intermediate level.
Experience managing high-volume requests and multitasking effectively.
Resilience and composure in a fast-paced, changing environment.
Experience using procurement, HR, and/or project management systems.
Be able to pass and hold national police check and worker screening check.
Must be an Australian Citizen.
