Meriton Suites Australia is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Reservations Specialist to assist with maximising hotel room reservations and delivering an authentic guest experience in collaboration with our operations team.About the RoleAs a Reservations Specialist, you will be responsible for the first impression of Meriton Suites Australia.
You will ensure a professional and warm pre-arrival experience by engaging with potential guests over the phone and responding to emails relating to general product information and reservations.We provide industry-leading and comprehensive training programs that motivate and equip you with the skills to perform at your best.
You will work in a welcoming, teamwork-focused environment that encourages professional development and accelerated growth within the company.You will be located in the Contact Centre at our head office on Kent Street, in the heart of Sydney's CBD.Your key responsibilitiesAttend to guest calls and emails in a timely manner.Process reservation requests, changes, and cancellations received via phone, email, and online distribution platforms.Utilise sales techniques where possible, including personalising the call experience to better understand guest needs, make recommendations, and upsell room upgrades for special occasions.Champion all properties' information to ensure seamless communication to guests and potential guests.Follow proper escalation procedures when addressing guest concerns.To be successful in this role you will haveExperience in the hospitality sector, customer service, guest support, or sales role.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Excellent time management and prioritisation skills.Knowledge of Property Management System and online booking platform is advantageous.Demonstrated critical thinking skills to develop thorough product information.An eye for detail, especially when performing data entry tasks.Ability to work in a team environment and under pressure.Full availability to work a 7-day rotating roster.Why Meriton Suites?Australia's largest owner-operator of apartment-style hotel suites, with 23 locations and 6,204 suites nationally.Base + Super + 17.5% Annual leave loading for award-based employees.Future opportunities and career development with locations across Sydney, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Canberra, and Melbourne.'Merit Academy' our online training platform to further develop your skills and knowledge.Paid Parental leave.Access to Employee Assistance Program (EAP) to provide professional and personal advice.Friends and Family discounts.Team activities and social events.Induction program for all new starters.If you would like to be considered for this opportunity, please click on the Apply Now tab below.Only short-listed applicants will be contacted within 7 days of application.
