Summary:
GTE Technology now requires the strategic guidance of a Financial Controller to assure the ongoing financial health as we continue to grow.
This role will ensure risks are managed and the business has the financial clarity required to grow and succeed.
This role will also make a material contribution to the success of our ERP implementation.

The purpose of this role:
Financial Oversight - Maintaining control over accounting functions, ensuring that financial records are accurate and compliant with regulations.
Lead the development and management of budgets.
Prepare and analyse financial statements and KPI reporting.
Analyze production expenses, labor costs, and inventory management to maximize cost efficiency and profitability.
Ensure a culture throughout the organisation where the high operational costs faced by manufacturing businesses are understood and employees take pride in avoiding waste.
Identify financial risks and implement controls to mitigate them, safeguarding the company's assets and financial integrity.
Act as a key advisor to company ownership and executive team, translating financial data into strategic recommendations that support business goals.
Provide direction and oversight to the accounting team, ensuring they are aligned with the company's financial goals.
Manage workflows, set performance targets, and foster professional development within the department.
Streamline accounting processes and systems to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
Take control of the challenges of managing costs, inventory, and financial data in a complex manufacturing environment.
Ensure strict adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies.
Serve as a bridge between the accounting department and other business units, ensuring that financial data supports operational goals and sound commercial decision making through the organisation.
Be responsible for resolving issues, improving financial controls, and fostering a culture of accountability and accuracy within the department.
To be considered for this role you must have:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
5+ years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a management role.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Experience with financial analysis and reporting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
A sound grasp of a complex manufacturing environment and the ability to drive robust processes to track costs, revenue, and profitability effectively.
This role will require attendance for work at our GTE Technology HQ in Ballarat.
