The Victorian School Building Authority (VSBA) is part of the Department of Education, overseeing Victoria's largest school building program since the introduction of free public education in the 1870s.
About the Division
The Asset Management Division helps schools maintain and manage their buildings and grounds, ensuring energy efficiency and supporting school leaders as facilities managers.
About the Role
The primary purpose of this role is to undertake procurement activities within the New Building Unit, including the tendering and implementation of a vendor panel contract.
Key Responsibilities:
Facilitate end-to-end procurement across the New Buildings Unit.
Lead procurement projects, including requirements gathering and stakeholder engagement.
Apply government procurement policies to develop management strategies.
Develop effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Support the planning and implementation of procurement systems and tools.
Provide strategic contract management guidance.
Support resolution of complex procurement issues.
Capabilities:

Qualifications and Experience:
5+ years' experience in tendering and procurement for government contracts.
Knowledge of PDCMA contract management and procurement policies.
Strong attention to detail and peer-review experience.
Experience in influencing and negotiating with stakeholders.
Analytical thinking with strong organizational skills.
Experience in applying procurement systems and tools.
A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline (e.g., Finance, Business Management).
