NSW Health has established a Single Digital Patient Record (SDPR) which will provide a secure, holistic and integrated view of the care a patient receives across the NSW Health system.

The SDPR program will transform how people experience and deliver care across the state, providing benefits for the people of NSW and the NSW Health workforce regardless of their location and role.

It will bring the state healthcare system together, unifying access to patient clinical information in one view.
This will help to provide connected, transparent and safe care for any person at any public healthcare setting statewide.
All NSW Health care teams and clinicians, no matter where they work, will securely access the same information about a patient in real time from one source.

About the Role
The Single Digital Patient Record Implementation Authority (SDPRIA) has been established to coordinate the implementation of the SDPR across NSW Health.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Intelligence Developer to work within the SDPRIA.

Reporting into the Data and Reporting lead, you will be responsible for the creation and support of reporting content and analytics tools used by NSW Health Local Health Districts and NSW Ministry of Health.
This service supports the organisation's business intentions, services, processes, and information needs.
The position is responsible for the quality and performance of the service.

About you
We are seeking motivated and committed individuals with:
Extensive experience and advanced skills in SQL or SQL derivative skills in a large and complex service industry organisation.
Experience using analytic tools, SQL Server Integration Services, Windows experience, and appropriate computing science qualifications are desirable.
Extensive knowledge of complex data models and demonstrated experience working with large and complex databases, preferably in relation to an electronic medical record.
Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised as well as collaboratively in a team and persevere in difficult situations, overcome obstacles, and reach high levels of performance when faced with stressful work situations and time pressures.
Experience working in a collaborative team environment using source control tools and change control management/version control processes.
Skills in gathering and documenting requirements to enable the build of reports, extracts, dashboards, and analytics tools.
Knowledge of large-scale data warehouse and reporting solutions: data warehouse integration projects using ETL tools or writing custom code; writing complex SQL queries; designing efficient DW data models; and building reports/dashboards using any enterprise reporting or visualisation tool.
Assume technical responsibility for the Design and Implementation of Performance Testing of reports, extracts, dashboards, and analytics tools.
Take the lead on consultation and advice around key issues and modification requirements relating to the ongoing support, upgrades, installation, and development of reports, extracts, dashboards, and analytics tools for SDPR data content.
If this sounds like you and you're looking for a rewarding new opportunity, we would love to hear from you.
