As a Shift Engineer, you will be responsible for working with the Maintenance Department to provide uninterrupted service to our guests and to maintain proper condition of tools, equipment, and working areas throughout the hotel.

It is the only 5-star hotel in Adelaide to host 500 delegates to meet, eat, and sleep, all under one roof.
What will I be doing? In your new role as a shift engineer, in addition to the normal trade work, all positions within the Maintenance Department assist with other trade works and non-trade, general maintenance work as appropriate including but not limited to:
Air conditioning maintenance and electrical repairs and installationRefrigeration electrical repairs, installation, and maintenancePainting, carpentry, and decoratingCleaning of plant areas and switch roomsDuties/responsibilities Perform day-to-day general maintenance duties within the hotel rooms and public areas, including small carpentry, plumbing, and general maintenance.Work closely with the Maintenance Team on any projects or schedules.Maintain all tools, equipment, and working areas in proper condition.Understand and have the ability to or learn to monitor mechanical services plant.Perform any other tasks as requested by the Maintenance Manager to ensure the smooth operation of the hotel.What are we looking for? Trade qualified in Electrical – highly desirablePrevious maintenance experience, preferably in a hotel or a similar varied work environment such as ships, hospitals, or retail businessesGeneral maintenance knowledgeStrong interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to be self-motivated, work without close supervision, and within established timeframesA passion for managing a variety of projects and tasks throughout the dayIt would be advantageous for you to demonstrate the following capabilities:
