Statewide services and programs, including specialist outreach and telehealth services Partnerships with other hospital and health services and non-government organisations Children's Health Queensland provides services from key locations inthe Brisbane metropolitan area and works with the 15 other hospital andhealth services as well as NGOs and charity partners in Queensland todeliver an integrated network of healthcare services and support acrossthe state.
The Oncology Service provides tertiary and quaternary care to patients of Queensland and on occasions Northern New South Wales.
The service provides evidence-based care and is recognised for the leadership and clinical expertise nationally and internationally for care of paediatric patients with oncology conditions.
Services are delivered in a variety of settings including the outpatient ambulatory care setting, day patient setting, in patient setting and via telehealth, community and outreach services.
The purpose of this role is to provide clinical expertise and consultancy through advanced clinical leadership relevant to the speciality of oncology.
The Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) provides direct and indirect care as required and works in collaboration with the Nurse Unit Manager, Nurse Educator and wider health care team support the clinical unit in provision of safe quality healthcare through exemplary clinical nursing standards of practice for the specialty of oncology.
