The College requires a temporary part-time Administration and Teacher's Aide to work 2 days a week in the front office of the school and the other 3 days to give support to teachers, individuals and/or groups of students in a classroom setting.
The days of work will be Monday to Friday.
The commencement date for this temporary part-time position is Friday 31 January 2025.
Key Responsibilities would be to: Administration:Knowledge of the Student Management System CompassSecretarial and clerical duties; including typing, word processing, data entry, google applications and maintaining emailsProcessing of postage and delivery of mailKnowledge and ability to operate complex office equipment, online and digital applicationsDirect telephones calls and messages to the relevant personnel appropriatelyMaintain accurate information including student attendance and enrolment data on CompassAssist with maintaining accurate electronic rolls and attendance records on CompassAttending to students in Sick Bay will follow up communication with parentsMaintain documentation for evacuation and lockdown proceduresAssist with maintaining medication and ensure all Medical Alerts are currentHold a current First Aid CertificateMaintain injury and incident reportsMaintain student files and upload all relevant informationMaintain transport applications for studentsObtaining quotes for transport requirements at the CollegeAssist other support staff on a needs basis as directed by the Office and Business ManagersOther duties as assigned by the Principal LeaderTeacher's Aide:Support students with additional needs within the classroom contextDifferentiate / adjust material to enable learners' access in 1:1 and small group contextsSupport student wellbeing within daily routinesSupport the Learning Support Team in the upkeep of records and documents related to students' additional needsSupport the Learning Support Team in preparation of student profiles and dataPosition Criteria: Detailed knowledge of complex office proceduresDemonstrated ability to work effectively both autonomously and as part of a teamDemonstrated capacity to exercise initiative, organise resources and meet deadlinesAbility to interact with school staff, students and members of the school communityAbility to communicate with new prospective families to promote enrolment to the CollegePrior knowledge of the Compass Student Portal would be seen as an advantage.Commitment to the Catholic Ethos of the CollegeSupport of the mission, teachings and ethos of the Catholic Church's work in schools.Demonstrated ability to follow direction, prioritise and meet set deadlinesDemonstrated interpersonal skills in working with a range of personnelStrong planning and organisation skillsDemonstrated ability to maintain the quality of assigned workThe applicant must submit with their application the following:

This position involves working with children.
The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child-related employment including the completion of a National Police Check, retention of a valid Working with Children Check and adoption and compliance with CSPD'S Child Safeguarding Procedures and Code of Conduct When Working With Students and Children.
CSPD promotes the safety and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, and children from culturally and/or linguistically diverse backgrounds.
