Legal Counsel - Corporate/ Commercial - Financial ServicesGreenfields Executive Recruitment & Search – Sydney CBD NSW
This role will report to the General Counsel and Company Secretary of a leading Australian private health fund. Working closely with the general counsel, you will assist in providing a broad range of legal advice to the business covering commercial contracts, corporate and ensuring organisational legislative requirements are met.

Key Areas Responsibility:Drafting, reviewing and assisting the business with a broad range of commercial matters, including general third party supplier agreements, leases, IT, IP, Privacy, competition law, consumer law and corporate law.Manage the day-to-day delivery of legal services and provide support to major projects across the business, such as strategic growth opportunities and regulatory change projects.Provide advice on legal matters and advise on changes in law and regulatory requirements which have an impact on the business.Reviewing correspondence, marketing material or other collateral from a legal perspective.Formulation of pro-forma templates for the needs of the business.Maintenance of relevant legal and contract management policies.Oversee an effective contract management framework. Key Competencies:Minimum 3 years post qualification experience as commercial/corporate lawyer in private practice or an in-house environment.Proven ability to understand and interpret legislation in particular exposure to competition and consumer law, Privacy Act, IP, WHS and Corporations law.Strong legal drafting and research skills.Greenfields is a specialist In-House Legal, Company Secretary and Corporate Governance Executive Search & Recruitment firm.
