Psychologist Role: Assessments and Counselling OpportunitiesAdvanced Psychology is a warm and friendly neuroaffirming private practice located opposite Albert Park. We provide a variety of services to children from the early years to adulthood. We conduct a range of assessments to identify Autism, ADHD, and Specific Learning Disorder and take evidence-based approaches to work therapeutically with a range of clients of all ages.About the RoleWe are seeking a part-time or contract Psychologist to join a friendly, warm, and dedicated team.We celebrate differences and are looking for someone who thrives in delivering individual therapy sessions and enjoys conducting assessments to identify our clients' strengths and differences.Clients are matched to your interest and expertise, and there are opportunities to grow professionally, with training opportunities within the practice.Willing to be flexible in the delivery of intervention in clinic, community, and via Telehealth as needed.We have strong collaborations with schools, offering a variety of work opportunities both at the clinic and at schools that we partner with.We meet for monthly group supervision to share our skills and experiences.Individual supervision is available weekly, fortnightly, or monthly.We catch up regularly for social events and enjoy a walk in Albert Park during lunch breaksThe position will commence October/November 2024.At Advanced Psychology, we are aware of carer burnout and care deeply about our team members' well-being. We support flexible work hours and work-from-home opportunities.Your admin and session planning time is prioritized, as well as time for continuing professional development.The office has exciting resources for interventions and up-to-date assessment tools.Fantastic admin support, ensuring that your focus is on client delivery, not admin-related tasks.About YouYou want to join a fantastic team that makes you want to go to work every dayYou have strong interpersonal skills that allow you to develop and maintain collaborative relations with clients, referrers, colleagues, and educators.You are flexible in your approach to working with a variety of clients and their families, operating in an individualized way with each person.Excellent written skills and report writing skills.Experience in using MIGDAS is preferred.Experience in conducting a range of assessments is preferred.Early career professionals are welcome to apply.Qualifications & ExperienceFull registration as a psychologist with APHRA.Experience in conducting assessments and in therapy.Working With Children Check.Successful Police Check.Professional Indemnity Insurance.You have a full, unrestricted Australian Driver's Licence and reliable access to a registered, fully insured vehicle.Please apply by sending an email to ******, including a short statement addressing your suitability and your current CV.Please note that only suitable candidates will be contacted.
