Intro Recruitment Professional Solutions has partnered with one of Australia's most exciting electrical and renewable power businesses, and they have an urgent requirement for an experienced Senior Commissioning Engineer to join an established team of professionals.
This company's leadership team comprises of people who have worked with top tier businesses on Australia's largest and most intricate projects.
You will be managing the pre-commissioning/commissioning process for ongoing substation construction projects throughout Australia, which is all part of the future energy transition in our great country.

Your day to day duties will include but are not limited to: Pre-commissioning and commissioning of primary plant and secondary systems of High Voltage Substations up to 275kv - 500kV.Creation of Inspection & Test Plans for Primary and Secondary plant for Factory (FAT) and Site acceptance testing (SAT)Secondary injection testing of numerical protection relays, Complete Testing of Transformer, CT, VT, CircuitSecondary system design for HV & LV protection and circuitryReport on progress each week to Senior Managers and the project teamEnsure technical queries are managed in accordance with process and proceduresCoordinate stakeholders during the commissioning execution processPrepare or review commissioning reports as required from all site based commissioning activitiesTake part in supervising and site management during the construction phase of the Electrical works (depending on the project)The coordination with clients to carry out the electrical assets energisation and post commissioning verifications.Assist with the preparation of Hold Point Test ReportsQualifications required for you to be successful: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent acceptable for membership of Institution of Engineers Australia in the Professional Engineering categoryElectrical Licence/Restricted Electrical Licence – desirableRegistered as a Professional Engineer in Queensland (RPEQ) – desirableHigh Voltage Switching Certification (National Accreditation) – desirableDrivers LicenceCPR & Switchboard RescueMore about you: Adaptable to change, with the desire to grow with an exciting business.Assist in managing the client's expectations and provide the solution for any changes to rules.You must be a specialist in pre-commissioning and commissioning of primary plant and secondary systems.You will propose ideas of improvement for data/documentation and possess strong technical knowledge of High Voltage assets, including operation, construction, and maintenance practices.Detailed knowledge of the regulatory, legislative, and standards that apply.Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong customer relationships.You must be open and willing to all travel required to various sites and locations.Must have full Australian working rights coupled with 3 + years of experience commissioning Australian substations.The position holder will require a flexible work ethic with a willingness to operate outside of normal business hours.Benefits for you: Big $$$ to be earned here as a test and commissioning specialistFuture leadership opportunities and continuous developmentAbility to work alongside industry leaders within the field of test and commissioningAll travel is in work time so you can enjoy your days off with friends/familyPoint of hire can be from anywhere in Australia (Brisbane home base is preferred)You will be adding value to the future energy program of our countryLong-term and stable employmentWork under a highly experienced Commissioning ManagerJoin today and start playing your part in the future of Australia.
