Fluid Power AU is a rapidly growing engineering business that specialises in the design, service and supply of hydraulic equipment to the Mining, Oil & Gas and Defence industries in the Northern Territory.
We have an opportunity for a Workshop Supervisor to join our Management Team.
The opportunity will involve:
Leadership of a small team of trades persons and apprenticesCoordinate the 'day to day' project and ad-hoc work flow for both 'site based' and workshop activitiesTechnical support for all staffCollating project specific Quality Management documentationQuoting and estimatingProject Specific customer interactionsInteract with Engineering staff on project specific workDetailed report writingDeliver task based training for apprenticesThe ideal candidate will possess:
Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical) Trade Qualification (Fitter / Machinist)Leadership qualities in 'house-keeping' and safetyKnowledge of hydraulic systems is desirableDetailed knowledge of Boilermaking desirableExcellent customer skills and an appreciation for the importance of 'repeat business' opportunitiesDedicated to delivering a quality product and a quality serviceSolutions driven focus backed up with a 'thinking outside of the square' approachSound understanding of workshop efficiencies and cost structuresAbility to schedule and prioritise workflow for a small team of trades personnel and apprenticesAbility to multi-task and balance multiple priorities that are 'service industry' typicalEnthusiastic approach to imparting your knowledge on to your younger and less experienced teamExcellent Computer Skills particularly MS Office SuiteExcellent technical report writing abilitiesPassion for continued learning and personal (professional) developmentFluid Power AU is a small busy team who work hard to exceed customer expectations.
