About the role As the Risk and Compliance Officer, you will be an integral part of the Corporate Services Team, ensuring that Lowitja Institute operates with the highest standards of compliance and risk management.
This dynamic role involves:
Risk management leadership: develop, implement and manage the Institute's risk management framework, including Work, Health and Safety (WHS) protocols and organisational policies.Compliance oversight: support corporate, statutory and contractual compliance across all areas, ensuring the Institute meets its obligations and strategic priorities.Collaboration and culture: work closely with teams to foster a risk-aware culture, encouraging accountability and excellence in all aspects of the Institute's operations.Governance and reporting: contribute to internal and external reporting, ensuring all actions align with Lowitja Institute's business and strategic plans.Continuous improvement: lead initiatives to promote a safe, healthy workplace and drive the Institute's commitment to the Aboriginal Employment Strategy and internal audits.Why join us?
