Location: Based on the outskirts of Perth in a beautiful suburb, this is a fantastic location.
Located only 15 minutes South of the CBD, this is a growing regional centre at the heart of a bustling urban community that offers a relaxed lifestyle with all the conveniences of modern day living.
The Facility: Based in the southern suburb of Murdoch, it is the newest of the teaching hospitals in the Perth Metropolitan area.
It serves a huge geographical area from the Swan River to the North, all the way to the southern coast of Western Australia and is a quaternary care institute.
The Plastic Surgery Department is comprised of 10 consultants, a fellow, two plastic surgery trainees, and a tier of junior doctors.
It is a busy department, which covers a broad range of plastic surgery sub-specialties – with a strong emphasis on breast reconstruction and head and neck reconstruction.
This is a 783-bed tertiary hospital offering a range of health services including the State Rehabilitation Service, a comprehensive cancer centre, purpose-built mental health unit, maternity, paediatric and neonatal services, and the State Adult Burns Service.
This hospital also delivers specialised services such as heart and lung transplantations and hyperbaric medicine.
