Program Manager - Technology and Strategic Initiatives Silicon Quantum Computing (SQC) is a leader in the global quantum computing industry.

About the role The Program Manager will develop and execute scalable project management frameworks to deliver complex projects advancing cutting-edge quantum computing technologies.
This role sits at the heart of the company, driving strategic initiatives and collaborating with internal leadership teams.
Key stakeholders include executive leadership, senior leadership, and technical teams.
This role requires exceptional organisational and communication skills, a technical understanding of quantum computing concepts, and the ability to coordinate multiple projects in a fast-paced, development-driven environment.
You will report to the COO.
Key responsibilities Develop and implement scalable project management frameworks to plan, execute, and deliver complex projects advancing cutting-edge quantum computing technologies.Serve as the central liaison between external technical teams, senior leadership, and internal cross-functional teams, driving strategic initiatives that align with company objectives.Work closely with executive leadership, senior management, and technical teams to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality outputs, including technical papers, grant applications, research publications, case studies, and technical programs.Coordinate multiple projects in a fast-paced, development-driven environment, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and maintaining a consistent standard of quality.Leverage a strong technical understanding of quantum computing concepts to effectively communicate project requirements and progress to diverse stakeholders.Foster collaboration across teams and manage stakeholder expectations to drive successful outcomes.Report directly to the COO, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and opportunities for continuous improvement.This role demands exceptional organisational and communication skills, the ability to manage competing priorities, and a passion for innovation and quantum computing advancements.
Education Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field - Quantum computing, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science or Mathematics (Specialised education or certification in quantum computing or systems engineering is highly advantageous.
)Master of Business Administration with a technical focus preferred.Certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional), PRINCE2, or equivalent credentials in agile or lean methodologies (e.g., Scrum Master Certification) are preferred.Education or experience in business strategy, technical writing, or grant proposal development.Experience Relevant Industry and Project Delivery Experience : Minimum 5-10 years experience in industries like quantum computing, high-tech research and development, engineering, or advanced computing systems.Experience in quantum technology, scientific research, or technical domains related to computing and systems engineering is preferred.Familiarity with quantum mechanics, quantum algorithms, or quantum hardware is a strong plus.Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Proven success in developing and executing scalable project management frameworks to deliver on multi-stakeholder, cross-functional projects.Hands-on experience managing projects at the interface of external organisations (e.g.
Customers, academic institutions) and internal teams.Ability to align project deliverables with company strategic objectives.Demonstrated ability to engage with and influence executives, senior leadership, technical teams, and customers.Proficiency in coordinating resources and managing budgets for high-value, multi-phase projects.Strong experience and understanding of project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, or similar).Technical Document Management : Experience creating and managing technical documents, grant applications, research publications, and case studies.Experience managing multiple simultaneous projects in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.Demonstrated ability to collaborate across diverse teams (R&D, engineering, business development) to deliver cohesive outcomes.Strong Communication Abilities : Expertise in presenting, technical writing, and tailoring communications for various audiences, including executives, scientists, and engineers.Key Performance Indicators Project Timeliness and Quality : Deliver projects on time with adherence to agreed-upon quality standards for documentation and deliverables.Strategic Alignment : Ensure all projects and initiatives align with company strategic goals.Stakeholder Collaboration : Conduct planned meetings on time and maintain strong collaboration effectiveness with internal and external stakeholders.Grant and Funding Success : Secure high win and approval rate for submitted grant applications or funding requests.Process Efficiency : Implement scalable frameworks or process improvements annually, with 80% adoption across teams within six months.Personal Attributes High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion.Proactive and self-motivated with a positive attitude and mature outlook.Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships across teams.At SQC, we are pioneering the future of quantum computing, with a focus on solving some of the world's most complex problems.
