Hybrid flexible – in office and at home An exciting opportunity has become available for a Senior Advisor Employee Communications to join the Customer & Stakeholder Engagement team within Sydney Water.

In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to develop strategic employee communications plans and initiatives that bring our vision and values to life for our people.
You will partner closely with the executive to deliver major employee communication campaigns that support, contribute to and are aligned with Sydney Water's strategy.
The ideal candidate will be proactive, innovative, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and adept at using digital platforms and analytics.

Responsibilities:
Lead the development, delivery and implementation of employee communication and engagement strategies to promote the brand, protect reputation, manage issues and deliver successful campaigns.
Deliver group employee communication strategies for major campaigns, identifying opportunities and risks early, developing and implementing messaging with appropriate measures of success.
Collaborate with and influence Heads of Business and the relevant Executive General Manager to adopt sound employee engagement approaches.
Develop a solid understanding of the business and build trusted internal relationships that support the delivery of highly effective strategic communication and engagement outcomes.
Evaluate and report on employee communication deliverables and channels with a view to continuous improvement.
Experience and Qualifications:
Degree qualification in communications, business, journalism/marketing, human resources or a related field.
Minimum 5 years' experience working as a senior employee communications, strategic communications or corporate affairs advisor in a major corporation, government department or agency environment.
Ability to build constructive and effective relationships to develop a deep understanding of business needs and objectives to tie communications work directly to desired business outcomes.
Demonstrated ability in design, delivery and implementation of proactive communication and engagement plans.
Adept at using digital platforms and data analytics to influence decision making.
A strong team player with proven ability to collaborate with others to achieve goals.
Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, including strong corporate communication skills.
Strategic thinker with proven planning, influencing, negotiation and facilitation skills.
Strong capability in assessing reputational issues and risks to the business and developing sound crisis management tactics.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage and prioritise projects and work to tight deadlines.
You must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident at the time of submitting your application to be considered for this role.
