ATCO Structures & Logistics, a division of the global powerhouse ATCO, have been providing modular building solutions to our clients across construction, mining, government, education, oil and gas, health care and commercial sectors for over 75 yearsYour future with ATCO Structures & LogisticsThe CopperString project aims to connect Queensland's north-west to the national grid via an 840 km high-voltage transmission line. ATCO Structures is responsible for building the workforce housing facility, which will house up to 550 workers. This facility, expected to be completed by mid 2025, will support the construction of a substation and the early stages of the transmission line from Hughenden to Mount Isa.We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee all aspects of the CopperString WAF project, including bidding, planning, coordination, and execution of the workforce housing facility. This accommodation facility will play a key role in housing the skilled workers necessary for the successful development of the transmission line, supporting the project's broader goal of enhancing Queensland's energy infrastructure.What You Will DoReporting to the General Manager - Major Projects, you will collaborate closely with the project's commercial team to track bid versus actual costs and coordinate with various trades, contractors, customers, and suppliers. Your goal is to ensure that all site operations meet licensing, legislative, and contractual requirements while aligning with ATCO's quality and safety standards. Specifically, you will be accountable for safe, compliant, high-quality project delivery that meets customer expectations.More specifically, you will contribute to, and be responsible for:Regulatory and Quality Compliance: Ensure all construction activities meet state licensing, legislative requirements, and quality standards expected by ATCO and clients.Project Risk and Safety Management: Identify and manage project risks, implement safety plans, and oversee compliance with ATCO and client safety policies.Operational Coordination: Lead the coordination of trades, contractors, and employees to ensure effective site installations and resolve operational issues promptly.Cost and Documentation Oversight: Manage project costs against estimates, complete required documentation on time, and update stakeholders on progress and approvals.Client and Team Engagement: Foster strong relationships across teams, subcontractors, and clients; lead operations meetings; and ensure alignment with ATCO policies and customer satisfaction.To hit the ground running, you will bring:Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of building codes, national construction standards, and permit requirements across various building classes, with prior experience in modular construction and workforce housing preferred.Project Management & Decision Making: Proven ability to plan, prioritise, and manage time effectively under tight deadlines, alongside decisiveness on critical project issues and the ability to lead construction teams to successful project outcomes.Systems Proficiency: Ability to learn and use construction-related software and systems, with intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant applications for project tracking and reporting.Communication & Team Leadership: High-level interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships, manage conflicts, and facilitate negotiations. Strong leadership abilities to develop and manage teams across multiple project phases.Qualifications & Safety Compliance: A minimum of Certificate IV in Building & Construction (or working towards it), along with a Construction Induction Card (White Card), Site Supervisors Licence, and an understanding of commercial safety expectations.
