Escape the high cost and stresses of city living with a fantastic live in roleOur service is 100% free for jobseekersMaintenance Manager-Remote Northern TerritoryWe are seeking an experiencedMaintenance Managerfor this busy off the grid property located in Central Australia, Northern Territory.The property caters to many tourists and day visitors and offers onsite accommodation, dining facilities, tours and camp ground facilities.As the maintenance manager, you will oversee all aspects of the property's maintenance department in a hands on capacity ensuring all equipment is operational to run the property. Being off grid, the property is powered by onsite generators and has its own water supply.Working with an energetic small team under great management you will work together to ensure the smooth running of the property.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced maintenance person who enjoys being 100% hands on and enjoys variety in their role.Being remote there is nothing to spend your money on giving you an ideal opportunity to save all of your pay whilst enjoying an outback lifestyle.Outside of work there is plenty of exploring to do, soak up the amazing sunrise and sunsets, enjoy star filled skies, rugged ranges, bush walks, great 4WD tracks, cultural tours or relax in your air-conditioned accommodation.Immediate StartMinimum 12 Month commitmentPay Details-Fulltime$90,000 Salary + tenure bonus payable after twelve months serviceFREE Accommodation & MealsOwn air-conditioned room with own bathroomORPay Details-Casual Rates-Level 6$37.05 per hour Monday-Friday$44.66 per hour Saturday$51.87 per hour Sunday$74.10 per hour Public HolidayDuties:Day to day management of all aspects of maintenance for the property answerable direct to the site managerUndertaking general onsite maintenance and preventative maintenanceMaintenance with water bores and generators and sewer plantsUnloading of trucks / General carting of stockGeneral grounds duties around the property to ensure the property is well maintained at all timesBasic plumbing, carpentry and mechanical workMaintain vehicles and onsite equipmentOther duties associated with managing the maintenance of a remote propertyIdeal Candidate:100% Hands onMust hold a current driver's license-ManualIdeally have or be able to obtain a Forklift LicensePrevious experience with carpentry, plumbing, electrical and refrigeration would be idealExperience with power stations / generators / boresGeneral handyman / bush repair skills knowledge across all areasHeavy Machinery ExperienceMust be physically fit and able to work in hot conditionsMust be able to work as part of a teamAdditional Information:Optus & Telstra Mobile Coverage & WIFI Options availableBasic supplies can be purchased onsiteRegular flights and bus transfers are availableRoad access if self drivingHow to Apply:If you are ready to start your remote adventure and feel you are the right candidate for this role, we would love to hear from you – please forward your resume ****** applications are handled on a confidential basis.Please also visit our website to browse our other fantastic opportunities.Note, due to confidentiality on some roles, not all our positions are externally advertised.Who We Are:MLKA Hospitality Recruitment are industry leaders in remote, regional and outback hospitality employment Australia wide.
