Finance Support Officer

Pay rate: $42 p/h + SuperHybrid ModelASAP start – 6-12 Month ContractLocation – RedfernAbout the Organisation: Our client, in the educational sector in Sydney, is seeking an experienced Finance Officer for a 6-12 month contract.
They are a leading University in Australia with campuses across Sydney. A crucial aspect of the role is fostering a customer-oriented and supportive team culture, aiming to deliver high-quality and efficient service.
You will contribute actively to team goals and maintain a positive work environment.
As a Finance Officer, you will ensure compliance with financial, procurement, and University policies while actively participating in the improvement of financial systems and processes.Duties within the role will include but are not limited to:Provide support for a range of financial transactional services managed by the consolidated finance officer pool.Prepare and deliver ad hoc transactional reporting, maintain accurate documentation, registers, and correspondence as requested for specific financial activities or initiatives.Act as a contact point for the Finance Partners (and clients where necessary) for escalations, feedback, and receiving information on operational changes.Keep clients informed about the progress of their financial request right up until resolution.Prepare timely and accurate corrections to financial records if required.Actively work towards achieving service excellence and great customer experience.Skills & Experience:Customer service experience with interpersonal skills to build effective internal relationships and liaise with staff at all levels in the University.Experience using financial systems for processing and reporting.
