About the role We have an opportunity for a Lecturer in Speech Pathology to work closely with the Head of Discipline of Speech Pathology, the Clinical Placements Co-ordinator in Speech Pathology, and the GSH professional clinical placement team as a Clinical Educator and Lecturer.
You will assist in developing and delivering practice education to our Master of Speech Pathology students including telesupervision and in-person supervision at our on-campus clinic, as well as simulation settings.
The position also liaises closely with the Clinical Placements Co-ordinator and Responsible Academic Officer in relation to progression of students through their clinical placements.
In this role you will contribute to teaching, learning, subject coordination and development of course content in speech pathology.
About You As a Lecturer, you will have proven tertiary teaching experience, including practice education, curriculum design and delivery through a range of contemporary teaching methods and technologies.
You will be a certified practicing speech pathologist with knowledge of the Speech Pathology Australia Professional Standards.
To be successful you will also have:
A Degree in Speech Pathology or Communication Sciences and disordersExperience as a Clinical Educator/Practice Educator in a University SettingA record of contributing to a collaborative team.Be a Certified Practising Speech PathologistExperience in teaching in higher education.Base Salary Range: $91,390 to $111,307 pa (Level A) / $121,566 to $143,880 pa (Level B)
This role attracts 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the base salary.
The position is part-time (0.6 FTE) on specific work days each semester to accommodate the University on-campus clinic and will be made on a continuing basis.
