Community Mental Health Worker – Country Wellness Connections

Based at Skylight Murraylands (Murray Bridge, Riverland & Murray Mallee)
SCHADS Level 4 : Part-time, 0.6-0.8 FTE Max Contract 6 Months
Company Overview : Skylight Mental Health delivers a range of recovery oriented community mental health services by working alongside people experiencing mental illness, family and friends who care for them, and the broader general South Australian community.
Role Overview : The Community Mental Health Worker will be working within the Country Wellness Connections program delivering individual support and group programs.
The Community Mental Health Worker will provide goal-based psychosocial support to participants in the community as well as assist with NDIS access if applicable.
This will include working closely with staff and participants to promote recovery, inspire hope, and facilitate a process wherein participants can:
Build capacity and personal skillsIdentify their strengths and goalsBuild resilienceLink in with people to help improve their wellbeingConnect with family or with the communityEnjoy a full and vibrant quality of life.Requirements for Success : Qualifications or experience relevant to mental healthSound knowledge and awareness of mental health challengesCapacity to work both autonomously and within teamsExperience with person-centred and recovery-oriented frameworksProficient knowledge of Microsoft programs and relevant softwareMust have DHS Working With Children Check and NDIS Worker CheckCurrent SA Drivers Licence and willingness to use own vehicleUnderstanding of the NDISHow to Apply : For queries please contact the Team Leader Tim Gogoll on or email .
