Apac Carbon Projects Manager

Our client is a leading international firm specializing in carbon markets and nature based solutions with headquarters in Australia.
They deliver high-quality projects across APAC, Europe, and North America.
As their team expands further, they are looking for a Carbon Projects Lead to take ownership of their expanding portfolio.
This role is integral to leading technical work, managing projects, and overseeing an international team to ensure the delivery of innovative and sustainable carbon market solutions.
Key Responsibilities: Lead, manage, and deliver complex carbon projects across APAC and internationally, from planning through execution.Provide technical expertise in carbon markets, including carbon accounting, offsets, and project registration.Manage and mentor an international team of consultants, ensuring timely and high-quality project outcomes.Oversee the development and application of GIS and remote sensing technologies to enhance project impact.Ensure all projects comply with standards such as VERRA, VCS, Gold Standard, and other relevant frameworks.Collaborate with senior leadership and international stakeholders to develop and implement strategic initiatives.Drive business development activities by identifying new opportunities in carbon markets and sustainability services.Maintain strong client relationships, providing technical and strategic advice for project development and delivery.Requirements: A minimum of 5 years of experience in carbon markets, including carbon offset projects, trading, or consultancy.Proven expertise in project management, including planning, execution, and budgeting of complex projects.Prior experience in leading and managing teams, ideally within a consultancy or international firm.Proficiency in GIS and remote sensing tools for carbon project design and implementation.Familiarity with carbon project standards such as VERRA, VCS, Gold Standard, and other carbon certification schemes.Strong understanding of carbon accounting methodologies and carbon market dynamics.Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work across different cultures and regions.What They Offer: Competitive salary and benefits package.Opportunity to work with a global leader in the environmental and sustainability sector.A dynamic and supportive work environment with room for professional growth.A chance to lead projects that contribute to meaningful global environmental change. #J-18808-Ljbffr
