The GPCE acts as a clinical leader and champion for the use of HealthPathways as an enabler of clinical redesign, writes and reviews pathways content, and participates in working group meetings to advocate for clinical consistency and evidence-based practice.The GPCE is responsible for ensuring pathway content is relevant, concise, and unambiguous prior to technical writing occurring, and in doing so helps to shape pathway content.
In this role you will provide a sound understanding of the current interface between the primary and secondary/tertiary health care sectors, and acts as an influencing member of primary care peer groups to facilitate the processes involved in HealthPathways.
You will also support the strategic objectives of the PHN by providing clinical input and advice to the HealthPathways Program.The successful candidate will be/have: Experienced, practising local GP with FRACGP or FACRRM and current Medical Board of Australia/AHPRA registration with appropriate indemnity insurance in place.Strong knowledge and/or experience of the health system in the region.Strong analytical skills with an ability to distil key information from complex and multiple sources.Have the capacity to dedicate time to developing HealthPathways and liaising with working group members/subject matter experts as required.Excellent written and verbal communication skills and negotiation skills.Demonstrated experience in gathering information from a variety of sources and collating it in a concise, meaningful manner.Well-developed skills and experience in the use of computer applications, in particular Microsoft Office applications.How to apply: Submit your resume (cover letter optional – not required) to the PHN by hitting the "apply now" button.For more information, please contact Sandra Fitzgerald, HealthPathways Lead Clinical Editor on or Joanna Coutts, Senior Manager, Integration and Partnerships, Populations, Access and Performance on .Our Commitment to DiversityWe believe that our differences are what make us great.
