Recycling Yard Forklift Operator - Excavator Experience Opportunity to utilise and progress your forklift / excavating experience with a metals recycling company by sorting, collecting, and processing scrap metals.
Our client is a leading innovator in manufacturing and distributing long steel products.
They are Australia's only fully vertically integrated steel manufacturer utilising scrap metal recycling and downstream distribution.
They provide metal recycling solutions to a broad range of scrap metal generators such as householders, local government, mining, demolition, industrials, automotive recyclers, and waste companies.
Their Lisarow site, specialising in aluminium and copper metals recycling, is seeking experienced forklift drivers with high reach experience to assist with yard work.
Position: Forklift Driver / Yard Loader (with Excavator experience)Shift: Day shifts from 7am to 3:30pm, with overtime availableLocation: Lisarow site, specialising in aluminium and copper metals recyclingTeam: Be part of a supportive, collaborative team that values safety and attention to detailKey Responsibilities: Sort and manage recycling bins onsitePerform general yard work as requiredOperate high-reach forklifts efficientlyPack recycled products for distributionFollow all safety procedures during forklift operationEngage in repetitive manual tasks, including heavy lifting and sorting raw materialsParticipate in competency-based training and developmentMaintain and clean the recycling yardEssential Criteria: Forklift License / Certificate is a mustExcavator operation experience highly regardedAbility to handle physical, repetitive work, including heavy liftingA proactive can-do mindset and willingness to learnStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilitiesDemonstrated commitment to safety and detailA good level of physical fitnessComfortable with manual handling - able to lift 20kg-25kg consistentlyHave a hardworking, self-motivated attitudeAble to pass a pre-employment Drug and Alcohol testAvailable Monday to FridayOUR COMMITMENT TO DIVERSITY & INCLUSION At Drake, we are committed to fostering diversity, inclusion, and equity.
