Our Legal team is there every step of the way - ideating, providing strategic legal advice and collaborating with Canvanauts across the globe to bring our ideas to life.
The Corporate Legal Team specifically works closely with Canva's Leadership, Finance, Tax, People and Total Rewards teams across a broad range of projects, helping to empower Canva to meet its goals.
From supporting our financings, acquisitions and global expansion, to advising our board of directors and managing employee equity, we strive to be collaborative, creative and strategic partners for the business and its stakeholders.
What you'll do You'll support corporate governance and compliance processes, including general record-keeping, preparation of board meeting agendas, presentations, resolutions, consents, minutes and other materials.
You'll assist the Corporate Legal team with securities law compliance and filings.
You'll work with our Equity Ops Lead to support management of Canva's equity plans and capitalization records.
You'll drive improvements and synergies by partnering with cross-functional teams, including People, Legal, Finance, Accounting, Tax, and Payroll on various corporate legal matters and processes.
You'll assist the Corporate Legal team on acquisitions, financings, secondaries and tender offers.
You'll support Canva's global expansion efforts by leading the incorporation of new entities and any associated corporate legal workstreams.
You'll support Canva's tax, finance, accounting and treasury teams on corporate legal matters including KYC, audit and insurance requests.
We'd love it if you have Experience as a Senior Corporate Paralegal, preferably within a fast-growing Saa S/technology business (public company experience is a must-have).

A highly collaborative mindset, with a positive attitude, humor, humility and the desire to build, lead and make an impact.
Superior organizational skills, extraordinary attention to detail and a mindset that processes can always be improved.
The ability to be a self-starter and fast learner, able to operate independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment and manage numerous projects simultaneously under deadline pressure.
Excellent technology skills with proficiency in Canva, G Suite, Slack, Microsoft Word and Excel.
Experience with external data sites, board portals and subsidiary management databases.
Bachelor's degree, with a great academic record.

At Canva we value fairness, and we strive to provide competitive, market-informed compensation whilst ensuring internal equity within the team in each region.
The target salary range for this position is $121,000 to $188,000.
