Director - The Jock Clough Marine Foundation The Jock Clough Marine Foundation ( is dedicated to marine conservation, supporting scientific education, research, and conservation efforts within Australia and the Indian Ocean in particular.
We support marine science by funding key marine science initiatives, including postgraduate scholarships and public education programs.

JCMF is seeking a dynamic Director who will be responsible for the Foundation's day-to-day operations under the guidance of the Trustees.
The Director will:
Provide high-level scientific guidance and advice, manage the research portfolio, and assess funding applications.
Develop and manage research projects in collaboration with various stakeholders.
Represent and promote the Foundation and its activities.
Manage the portfolio of marine science research projects and evaluate funding applications.
Build and manage partnerships with academics, government agencies, NGOs, and other key stakeholders to promote the JCMF.
Provide expert scientific guidance to Trustees on marine conservation and science projects.
Plan the annual WA World Ocean Day (WA WOD) event and other events as needed.
Qualifications and Skills
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively is essential.
Experience in social media, website, and event management.
Self-starter who can initiate marine conservation project ideas, using the JCMF as a catalyst, and then persuade, inspire, and lead others to support such ideas/concepts.
PhD in marine science, ecology, environmental policy, or related field with strong international and national networks.
Proven leadership experience in industry, academic, and/or conservation sectors.
Deep understanding of marine science, conservation strategies, and sustainability.
Strong, demonstrated ability to lead and manage complex, multifaceted programs.
Experience in budget and resource management.
