Cyber Security Architect – Financial Sector Are you an experienced Cyber Security Architect ready to shape the security strategy of a dynamic, high-integrity financial institution?
We're seeking a seasoned security expert who understands the importance of robust security frameworks and is eager to work onsite 3-4 days per week in a structured, suited-and-booted environment.
About the Role
As the Cyber Security Architect, you'll play a critical role in defining, implementing, and optimizing security architecture processes that support our Secure By Design approach.
This position is integral to safeguarding our enterprise systems, protecting our customers, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
You'll partner with cross-functional teams to lead the Security Architecture function, translate complex security requirements into actionable insights, and guide large-scale projects through secure design principles.
This role also offers the chance to collaborate with industry experts, stay ahead of emerging security trends, and contribute to ongoing innovation.
What You'll Do Develop Security Roadmaps: Craft and uphold security architecture principles, standards, and frameworks that align with industry best practices. Lead the Security Architecture Function: Provide high-level advice and support for complex business cases, ensuring all projects align with security governance. Drive Cloud Security: Implement Secure by Design principles for cloud-based solutions, fortifying our infrastructure against evolving threats. Mentor and Guide: Support and guide other architects in developing specialized skills in cyber security, while facilitating playbooks and training for broader teams. Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure adherence to regulatory obligations, particularly APRA CPS 230 and CPS 234, with a firm understanding of PCI-DSS and other critical standards. What We're Looking For 10+ Years of Security Architecture Experience: With deep knowledge of cyber security frameworks such as SABSA, TOGAF, or Zachman. Financial Services Background: Preferably within banking or financial services, with expertise in handling regulatory requirements. Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of security infrastructure, secure development for CI/CD pipelines, vulnerability management tools, and cloud security. Leadership and Communication Skills: Capable of translating complex security concepts into business language and collaborating effectively across departments. Why Join Our Client?
