FLY IN / FLY OUT HEAVY DIESEL / POWER GENERATION MECHANICThis is a great opportunity to join the GenPower Services team and work with an industry-leading Tier 1 Mining client on a 1 week on and 1 week off roster maintaining a fleet of mobile generators, lighting towers, and diesel water pumps.

ABOUT THE ROLE: We are seeking an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic (preferably with experience maintaining and repairing generators) to perform maintenance and repairs on mobile generators, lighting towers, diesel water pumps, and other equipment as required.
The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, previous experience working with generators, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for ensuring that the equipment we help maintain operates at peak performance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Diagnose and repair mobile plant equipment and other equipment as requiredPerform routine maintenance and inspections to identify potential issues and prevent breakdownsDisassemble and reassemble heavy equipment componentsTroubleshoot and repair diesel engines, pumps, and ancillary equipmentUse diagnostic tools and equipment to assess and repair equipment efficientlyMaintain accurate records of maintenance and repair workEnsure all work is performed in accordance with safety regulations and guidelinesCollaborate with team members to complete complex repairsCommunicate work with client and GenPower Supervisor daily / weeklyWHAT WE OFFER: ROSTER - FIFO 1 and 1Attractive RemunerationFlights / accommodation / meals provided by clientREQUIREMENTS: Australian recognised trade completion certificate as Diesel MechanicNational Police ClearancePractical experience working within a heavy-duty environmentStrong problem-solving skillsSelf-motivated, with the ability to work as part of a teamA strong commitment to safety and qualityHigh level of attention to detailPositive and proactive attitudeBe a flexible and professional team memberHigh level of self-motivation and commitmentAll successful applicants will be required to undertake a National Police Clearance and have the ability to pass a full pre-employment medical, including a full physical component along with drug and alcohol testing.
