Your expertise enables you to identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks that could impact the mission success of our customers.

This is a contingent position based upon contract award.
What You'll Do In the role of EH&S Specialist, your duties will include : Manage environmental programs for compliance, pollution prevention, and/or natural resource protection programs.Prepare and oversee SOWs and cost estimates for environmental studies, designs, and projects.Continually ensure and monitor compliance and investigations of non-compliant issues.Establish and manage hazardous waste storage and disposal policies and practices.Oversee identification and validation of potential contaminated sites and development/implementation of remedial action plans.Manage staff, budget, and policies affecting specific programs.Other duties as required.Requirements : Must be a US or Australian citizen.Must have a US TS/SCI Clearance w/Poly, or an Australian PV clearance.Must have a minimum of a BA/BS, from an accredited institution, preferably in environmental science or EH&S related field.Must have a minimum of five years of EHS experience managing projects of similar size, scope, and complexity.Must possess an ASP, CSP, CIH, CEP (Preferred), or Australian equivalent (note: a CSP or CIH are preferred); An EH&S related Master's Degree may suffice for Certification requirement.Must have knowledge of process improvement models.Must have an understanding of the US and Australian bilateral agreements governing EHS.Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze data and statistics related to workplace safety and environmental compliance.Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for preparing reports, presenting safety training, and interacting with regulatory bodies.Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify safety risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.Physical Requirements: Depending on the sector, there may be physical demands such as walking extensive distances on inspection rounds.This role will be located in Alice Springs, at a 4,400-acre facility with approximately 687,000 square feet of mission and support space.
This position is expected to be onsite 100%.
