The Opportunity
Our Administration Services team at Brisbane Private Hospital has a new opportunity for an experienced Ward Clerk to join our General Surgical and Paediatric Unit.
Working with the clinical team, we are seeking a full-time team member who will be accountable for providing admin support on a busy ward to assist our doctors, nursing staff, and allied health professionals.
The service comprises a 32-bed ward specializing in ENT/Orthopaedics/Plastics and Paediatrics (both adult and paeds).
The successful applicant will have exceptional customer service skills, flexibility, and an empathic approach.
Key functions include:
Greeting patients and other visitors Liaising with other professionals Preparation of patient files, appointment lists, and coordination with other ward clerks to obtain ward patient files Medical record filing Providing clerical support to the clinical team About us
Brisbane Private is a 181-bed Private hospital with 17 operating theatres, surgical, medical and rehabilitation units, ICU, and drug and alcohol rehabilitation services.
Conveniently located above the Roma Street Parklands, specialist services include neurosurgery, orthopaedics, spinal, plastics, urology, ENT, Rehabilitation, General surgery, and the delivery of Brisbane's leading private drug and alcohol programs from Damascus Health Services.
Essential Criteria
Previous experience in a Ward Clerk position Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills Good oral and written communication skills Well organized, able to prioritize, plan ahead, and work under pressure Experience with medical terminology Experience with Webpas Medical System Why Healthscope?
