Come work with us if you like to tackle big problems and make a meaningful difference in people's lives.About the Role:As a Credit Analyst, you will underwrite and process new auto loan applications that are submitted by our auto dealership partners. You will analyze applicants and loan data with a focus on credit worthiness, risk mitigation, pricing, and compliance in accordance with Upgrade Auto's lending policies. This is a hybrid role position and may require you to be available to work on weekends.What You'll Do:Receive and underwrite auto loans for new and used vehiclesPrice loan approvals according to market and riskCreate relationships with auto dealer partners and negotiate with external clientsBuild strong relationships with our internal Dealer Development partners and teams, as well as various stakeholdersResolve dealership concerns and existing loan issues that may arise by providing alternative solutions while using reason when dealing with emotional topicsAssess loan documents and third party data to make informed lending decisionsWork with the Operations Team to resolve issues that may arise during the funding processStay up to date with current economic trends and industry regulationsWhat We Look For:5+ years of experience in financial services, credit management, auto industry or a related fieldAttention to detail when dealing with individual customer loans and credit filesProfessionalism, ownership, and the ability to work under pressure in challenging situationsAbility to collaborate with others and work in a team environmentExcellent verbal and written communication, as well as strong presentation skillsHighly motivated to set and achieve challenging goals while demonstrating persistence through obstaclesWhat We Offer You:Competitive salary and stock option plan100% paid coverage of medical, dental and vision insurancePTOOpportunities for professional growth and developmentPaid parental leaveHealth & wellness initiativesThe compensation range of this position in OC, CA is USD $40-46/hour plus equity and benefits.
