As a Management Accountant, Research, you will:
Deliver the annual budget and forecast submissions, staff management plans, monthly reporting.
Manage and/or mentor a team of Assistant Accountants to provide and deliver a high quality client service to identified Faculties, Strategic Research Centres and Institutes across all aspects of research finance and grant accounting.
Maintain a high standard, culture and practice for application of research expenditure and subsequent financial reporting and acquittals to ensure activity reflects and is in accordance with grant and contract funding rules.
Compile the external reporting of complex research grants, agreements and partnerships.
Assist in the development and delivery of plans for training, education, awareness of Research systems, tools & policies to ensure a high standard, culture and practice for application of research expenditure.
To be successful, you'll have:
Post graduate qualifications, or progress towards, in accounting, finance or other similar discipline and extensive relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of relevant accounting experience and/or education.
Certified Practising Accountant / Chartered Accountant.
Previous experience at a senior administrative level in financial administration and related activities, preferably in a University or other large organisation with complex administrative structures, policies and procedures.
