That's the energy and passion behind Amazon.We are currently looking to hire a Senior Workplace Health, Safety and Wellness (WHSW) Specialist to join the team and play a critical role in supporting the WHS function.
This role is based at our BWU2 Robotics site in Western Sydney and will have a strong focus on injury prevention and injury management strategies, the coordination of Return to Work requirements and the implementation of global health and wellness programs.
The successful candidate will be an experienced, innovative, hands-on and customer obsessed individual, passionate about WHS, injury prevention, effective management of, and engaged return to work processes.
Be able to identify, coordinate and drive improvements in WHS whilst engaging Operational and other Support Function stakeholders.

The role is based at BWU2 but will support other sites in NSW and will cover a Monday-Friday day shift pattern.Key job responsibilitiesDevelop strategy and provide technical subject matter expertise in the development of psychosocial risk and work design strategy across Amazon AU.Assist the WHS Manager to ensure delivery of Health, Safety and Wellness performance in line with personal, team and functional goals and objectives, programs and projects.Be a key driver in the development and implementation of programs specific to occupational health, wellness, injury prevention, injury management, and return to work.Supporting the implementation of WHS and Wellness programs within site operations.Supporting the site with key risk assessment activities including proactively analyze tasks for potential ergonomic issues, perform biomechanical & ergonomic assessments, and execute other Amazon injury prevention activities.Participate in incident investigation process, especially those related to MSDs injuries.Supporting the business to ensure compliance to state and Australian WHS legislation.Ensuring that WHS systems are kept accurate at all time with completed incident reports and all required supporting documentation, with metrics compiled on key data points to help the WHS Manager prepare/issue regular and ad hoc reports and metric documents.Assisting the WHS Manager with the construction of incident prevention programs, contributing to operational requests to improve on site Safety and positively impact accident trends as well as facilitating incident investigation processes.Participating in WHS Safety Audits and Inspection programs as required.Coordinating, training and coaching team members as required.BASIC QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree or higher in Health and/or Safety, or occupational therapy, exercise physiology, physiotherapy, ergonomics, health science or a related field.Minimum 3 years' experience, ideally in an occupational setting.Knowledge of Workplace/Occupational Health and Safety legislation.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSMembership with relevant professional association, i.e.
Australian Psychological Society.Return to Work Coordinator or equivalent qualification(s).Strong communication, teamwork, analysis, judgment, and customer focus skills.Ability to analyze accident data, new processes, and equipment for potential concerns and conduct job hazard and job analyses.Experience in return to work management.Experience with occupational health and wellness programs.
