Job Description Service, repair, assemble, install, commission, inspect cooling towers either at HEWA's service centre or on site.
Assist in planning & preparation of jobs, using drawings, plans and designs.
Check quality of work performed.
Requisition materials from inventory, replenish consumables in accordance with scope of work.
Provide training to temporary staff for service as applicable.
Discuss equipment & maintenance with clients, collect and analyze data as required.
Check and record goods inward & dispatch with stock control.
Test equipment to meet specifications where required.
Ensure clear and accurate communication with customers.
Adhere to all occupational health and safety requirements.
This may include drug and alcohol tests on some sites.
Keep workshop and work sites in a safe, clean and tidy state at all times.
Stay up to date with new industry standards.
Carry out all instructions to the very best of your ability.
Complete all paperwork accurately and in a timely manner, before and after each job.
Complete time sheets daily & accurately and hand them to Supervisor.
Be committed to the continuous improvement of all systems associated with the service function.
Fulfil other duties as required by management and other department personnel as requested/required.
Attend to site or overnight stays away for work as required to fulfil the requirements of the role.
Qualifications: A minimum of 5 year(s) of working experience is required.
Candidates must be a Bachelor's / College Degree holder in Engineering (Mechanical) or similar fields.
Minimum two years current work experience in a mechanical trade or extensive experience in the assembly and servicing of Cooling Towers.
Preferably have a working knowledge of Cooling Towers.
Site service and customer relations experience preferred.
