We are looking for an experienced, strategic Senior Medical Science Liaison from the medical devices or pharmaceutical industry.
This is a full-time ongoing position based in Melbourne, reporting to the Head of Medical Affairs and Clinical Development.
The Medical Science Liaison would be responsible for building and maintaining in-depth knowledge of the therapy area, including the science, evidence, and treatment options.
Core to this role is engaging with external experts and healthcare providers (HCPs) to facilitate scientific exchange and support evidence-based treatment decisions, advancing the understanding and application of MDI's therapies and devices.
The position is customer facing (field-based) approximately 70% of the time, with national travel required.
Key Responsibilities Scientific Exchange and Relationships: Establish and maintain scientific relationships with national, regional, and local opinion leaders, as well as healthcare providers, to support evidence-based decision-making.Respond to enquiries from key opinion leaders (KOLs) and HCPs with current, accurate medical and scientific information.Gather and share insights from interactions with HCPs to inform internal strategy and decision-making.Medical Activities and Events Support: Support the planning and facilitation of advisory boards and subject matter expert meetings.Deliver approved medical and scientific presentations to both internal and external stakeholders.Represent MDI at local, regional, and national conferences while leading special project teams as assigned.Knowledge and Compliance: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant clinical and scientific research, publications, and data.Adherence to regulatory and compliance standards.Collaborate with cross-functional teams on strategic projects and initiatives, including medical/scientific training for internal staff.Key Requirements Advanced degree in life sciences (e.g., Master, PhD, MD, PharmD) or nursing qualifications.At least 2+ years' experience in the same or similar role within the pharmaceutical industry.Current and Valid Driver's license (verified prior to start).Strong analytical skills for critical evaluation of clinical data, trends, and real-world evidence.Commercial acumen and an understanding of strategic business objectives.Knowledge of regulatory and compliance guidelines governing Medical Affairs and Clinical Development.Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively and cross-functionally, within a rapidly developing and team-oriented environment.At MDI, we will offer you: a competitive salary + car allowanceopportunities for professional development and growtha friendly and supportive team environmentMDI Anniversary Leave - 1 extra day off to celebrate your time with usAPPLY NOW for this exciting opportunity
