Senior Medical Officer and Medical Officers - Clinical TrialsBoehunter Executive Search & Selection - Life SciencesOur client, a leader in the clinical trials field, is looking for a skilled and experienced Senior Medical Officer and Medical Officers to provide top-tier medical care to participants in ongoing clinical trials. In this role, you'll work closely with teams across the organisation, including Project Management, Clinical Units, and Recruitment, to ensure the smooth and successful execution of clinical trials.Key Responsibilities:Deliver high-quality medical services to clinical trial participants, following trial protocols, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).Ensure compliance with all relevant ethical, legal, and regulatory standards, including the Declaration of Helsinki and Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) guidelines.Act as the Lead Sub-Investigator for healthy volunteer studies when delegated by the Chief Medical Officer.Provide guidance and mentorship to junior Medical Officers on trial planning, participant eligibility, and managing adverse events.Conduct comprehensive medical assessments to ensure only eligible participants are enrolled.Collaborate with various departments to maintain consistency and support for clinical projects.Review adverse events, laboratory results, and diagnostics, ensuring proper medical care for participants.Manage participant prescriptions for Investigational Products and prescribe any necessary concomitant medications.Assist in the strategic management of the Medical Officer team, driving process improvements and contributing to the overall clinical strategy.Qualifications and Experience:Required:Medical Practitioners or Medical Officers with qualifications from a recognised institution.Full, unconditional registration with AHPRA, with at least 3 years of experience.Recent GCP training (within the last 2 years) an advantage.Preferred:Strong team player with excellent communication skills to build rapport with trial participants.Interest in working with healthy volunteers and ability to manage a high-volume clinical setting.Prior experience with early-phase clinical trials is a plus, though not essential.Recent clinical experience (within 2 years).Advanced Life Support Training is an advantage.Why Join Our Client?These are great opportunities to be part of a leading team in clinical research, where you'll play a critical role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of participants while contributing to innovative medical advancements.
