National Transport Manager, Convenience

The Asia-Pacific region currently includes Australia, New Zealand, Vietnam, Sri Lanka and Singapore employing nearly 3000 team members. Position Details As we continue our transformation and growth journey in the region, we are now looking to appoint a National Transport Manager, Convenience, to join our Team based at Hume Rd, Laverton in Melbourne. The Role The purpose of this role is to manage the National Convenience Operations and strategy for Lineage Australia, delivering the business' requirements in terms of product, delivery and service whilst managing to commercial targets. This is achieved through fostering a flexible work team approach which focuses on efficiency, waste reduction, quality, compliance, safety, continuous improvement whilst meeting and exceeding business expectations. This role is key to leading the creation and implementation of a best practice Convenience vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance in managing the execution, direction, and coordination of all fleet and equipment matters within the organisation. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: Responsibility for National convenience transport operationsSupporting Convenience transport supervisorsOverseeing QSR operationsResponsibility for P&L of convenience and QSR businesses for transportStrategic planning/decision making of convenience and QSR businessesManagement and onboarding of new customers - partnership and customer engagementOverseeing Route optimisation and utilisation of convenience fleet internal/external resourcesSubcontractor Management and performance metrics associated for Convenience businessOverseeing and driving compliance and COR for convenience operations Your experience, skills and qualifications should ideally include: Extensive experience in a similar role (industry experience is preferable)Qualifications in Business/LogisticsExperience leading a medium - large teamManaging P&L with direct and contract driversStrong understanding and implementation of safety procedures, product safety, quality and legality issuesThe ability to provide training to subcontractors and drivers on Company processes and proceduresStrong IT skills (Microsoft Office, TMS) Why is this opportunity exciting?
