DescriptionChief Engineer Wanted for Multi-Year Transformation Program
We're seeking a highly skilled Chief Engineer to lead our technology division in a multi-year transformation program, driving innovation and modern best practices in banking.About the RoleAs a Chief Engineer, you will be responsible for designing solutions for complex challenges across Bankwest, providing core technology and domain expertise, and guiding the team to build world-class applications.
You will also be responsible for:Leading the overall design and engineering for a platformProviding guidance and oversight to ensure technical deliveries are aligned to engineering direction and strategyDesigning and implementing solutions to complex problemsDefining engineering standards and uplifting engineering performanceProviding technical ownership of key assets, including roadmaps and technical directionDriving cultural and process changes supporting modern delivery practicesSetting and driving the agenda for key strategic initiativesRequirementsSolid experience working with large-scale distributed systems and able to operate in a multi-platform environmentExpertise with automation and designing software architecture in the banking domainExperience with:Frontend: React or AngularBackend: .Net Core (C#) or JavaDatabase: SQL and No SQL experienceMicroservices design and implementation of highly scalable APIsScripting/programming languages (Java Script, Type Script, Go, Python)CI/CD tools (Git Hub Actions, Team City, Octopus)Cloud - AWS along with certificationSolution and System DesignApplication Security and ObservabilityCode quality control through peer programming, code review, and automated pipeline managementExperience working on green field projects is highly regardedWorking with UsWe offer a flexible and inclusive work environment, with a focus on work-life balance.
