CSA Mine is looking for an experienced Charge Up Operator to join the team.
You will work in a team that is focused on safety, while driving to meet the plan.
You will work in one of the world's most iconic mining districts, which has the second highest grade copper mine in the country.
Job DescriptionAbout the role Effectively preparing and charging drill holes to deliver firing on targetCharging production stopes and development headingsReading and understanding production drill, jumbo and charge-up plansHanging and removal of vent bag, air and water servicesHaving a strong commitment and attitude toward Safety, Health and EnvironmentQualificationsThe successful applicant will have: Current Australian Driver's Licence (minimum P2 or equivalent)Working at Heights and Elevating Work Platform (desired)UHL and BEUL (essential)Hold previous underground mining experience (production stope and development heading, as well as general mining operations)Previous experience operating an MCU or similar blast product delivery vehicle (desired)Experience with electronic blasting systems (advantageous)Additional InformationConditions This position is offered on a residential, fly in fly out (FIFO) or drive in drive out (DIDO) basis on 7/7 roster.
If residential is the preferred option, relocation costs and a housing subsidy will be available to assist in relocating to Cobar.
Candidates interested in the DIDO option will be provided with single person commute accommodation and meals at the mine camp.
Location Located an eight-hour drive to Sydney, nine-hour drive to Melbourne, and a quick three-hour drive to Dubbo, Cobar is a fascinating town rich in mining heritage and natural attractions.
Entertainment options include restaurants, pubs, and clubs for dining out.
You will be kept busy with a bowling and golf club, rugby and rugby league teams, race club, pony club, Olympic size swimming pool, gym – and more
