About the Role Our Financial Services team currently have a unique opportunity for a skilled and detail-oriented Financial Business Advisor to join us full-time for a 12-month fixed-term duration.
In this dual role, you will be the point of contact for the Australian General Ledger as well as providing business support to our People Solutions team and ensuring accurate payroll accounting.
Your Key Responsibilities General Ledger Costing: Your strong attention to detail will see you maintaining the general ledger system for the Australian region including chart of accounts, monthly consolidation and submission to the U.S. Payroll Costing & Accounting: You will manage the interface between the payroll system and general ledger, ensuring monthly payroll is costed correctly and complies with business needs.
Controllership: You will perform and review general ledger reconciliations including payroll and consolidation accounts, be our SPA for GL SOX controls, provide location support and guidance to the Cost Analyst team.

What You Can Bring to the Role Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Corporate Finance or related discipline.
CPA certification would be considered desirable but not essential.
Experience working within a commercial environment maintaining finance systems with strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to apply forward thinking.
Demonstrated knowledge of financial accounting concepts and processes with experience in various financial disciplines.
An understanding of audit protocols would be advantageous as would exposure to Oracle and ADP Payroll.

About the Location The Bindjareb Office of Alcoa, named in recognition of the Bindjareb community as the Traditional Custodians of the land, is conveniently situated within walking distance of Pinjarra town centre.
This regional hub provides support to our Pinjarra, Wagerup and Kwinana refineries as well as our two mines.
This corporate office primarily consists of the Human Resources, Procurement, Operational support and Finance divisions.
