About the Role: A permanent opportunity for an experienced Empty Container Handler Operator (Forklift) to join our team at the Container Park in Altona North on AM Shift (6am to 2.30pm).
The role and responsibilities will include:
Follow all safety policies and procedures to ensure safe operation of the forklift and that containers are stacked correctly, safely, and in the correct location.Keep forklift in a clean and tidy condition.Load and unload trucks in a safe and efficient manner.Complete pre-operational forklift check procedures at the start of each shift, including checks of tyres, fluids, and operating elements.Responsible for ensuring implementation of, and compliance with, all relevant depot policies and procedures, particularly those relating to OH&S.To be successful in this role, you will need:
Current Forklift Licence.Experience in container park operations preferred.Any exposure or experience in handling/moving shipping containers would be highly desirable.Strong safety consciousness.A team player with good communication skills.A positive can-do attitude.To apply for this role, you must be an Australian citizen or a permanent resident.
