About the roleAs the Academic Manager - Interactive Media, you will lead the development and delivery of innovative, industry-relevant interactive media programs at NextEd Group's state-of-the-art campus in the heart of Melbourne.
In this crucial, full-time role, you will leverage your deep expertise in interactive media and education to guide the strategic direction of our academic offerings and ensure the highest standards of teaching and student outcomes.
What you'll be doing Oversee the quality and continuous improvement of interactive media courses and curriculum, ensuring they are aligned with industry needs and best practice in higher education.Recruit, manage and mentor a high-performing team of interactive media lecturers and tutors, fostering a collaborative, student-focused culture.Uphold processes for academic integrity, student progression, feedback and support.Analyse student and academic performance data and feedback to identify opportunities for enhancement and drive continuous improvement.Build and maintain strong partnerships with industry leaders to inform the interactive media curriculum and provide students with valuable practical experiences.Lead the implementation of innovative teaching methods and learning technologies to deliver an engaging, interactive educational experience.Contribute to the overall strategic direction of NextEd Group's academic offerings and represent the interactive media discipline internally and externally.What we're looking for Postgraduate qualification in a relevant field such as game design, animation, interactive media, digital design or education.5+ years' experience in an academic teaching or educational management role, with a background in interactive media or a related digital discipline.Proven track record of designing and delivering high-quality, industry-aligned educational programs.Excellent leadership, people management and mentoring skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a talented team.Deep understanding of the latest trends, technologies and best practices in interactive media and interactive learning.Ability to build productive industry partnerships.Exceptional communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.What we offerAt NextEd Group, we are committed to providing our employees with a rewarding and fulfilling work experience.
