Due to a recent machinery of government changes, the Procurement Division has been transitioned to the Department of Housing and Public Works.
This role will be advertised under the Department of Energy and Climate while the department is in a transition period.Join the Department of Housing and Public Works and play a vital role in delivering a range of services that make a real difference to the lives of Queenslanders.Key Responsibilities:
Lead, manage and provide strategic direction to the Governance, Engagement and Community team, ensuring the successful delivery of the team's programs of work related to procurement capability, governance and engagement, and social procurement.Provide strategic advice across a broad range of procurement-related matters and topics, including identifying contemporary and innovative solutions to improve outcomes, to a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders.Promote and facilitate communication and connectivity across the Queensland Government's procurement function.Build and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders to support consultation for key initiatives.Represent the organisation at meetings, forums and other events as required, advocating and negotiating outcomes as needed.Exercise financial and human resource delegations, ensuring that the use of financial and human resources is optimised.Proactively develop the capability and expertise of managers and staff to improve procurement outcomes as a member of the Policy leadership team.Join our team and be part of our legacy.
