Job Description Senior Engineer - 53845 PermanentGold Coast LocationPart of the Unite Project How will I help?
The consumer Finance technology team works with multiple areas of Westpac to transform the business' vision into reality by planning and delivering the projects alongside strategic partners.
You will be working in a fast paced and agile team, contributing to major transformation programs and supporting the division's core systems.
We are seeking a hands-on, full stack Engineer to build, design, maintain and test for the development of our technology used by Digital Consumer Finance Technology Team.
You will be engaging with multiple stakeholders and be an expert in your domain whilst still supporting the wider engineering community.
Your responsibilities will include: Design, Implement, and maintain micro service (API) using Spring-Boot.Design and develop user interfaces for customer-facing applications using React JS.Write clean, modular, maintainable code using modern JavaScript frameworks and libraries.Understanding of end-to-end application performance and optimization techniques and tools.Implement responsive designs with reusable and scalable UI components.Problem-solving and debugging skills.Understanding of accessibility standards and best practices of UI developmentCollaborate with service owners to understand the requirements and translate them into technical user stories. What do I need?
For this role you should have experience in financial services and have excellent analysis and design skills.
You will have a genuine passion for automation and be customer focused with the ability to work in an agile, fast paced environment.
You should have the below skillset and experience:
CI/CD tools ie Bit, bitbucket, Jenkins or bamboo.React JS, Redux, Node JS.Restful API design principles and standardsAPI security and authentication mechanisms (OAuth, JWT)Spring Boot and Restful APIHTML5, CSS3 & Java Script What's it like to work there?
